Device Basics: Google Glass Enterprise Edition 2
- To turn on Glass, press and hold the power button on the rear of the touchpad.
- To turn it off, press and hold the power button.
- Charge Glass by connecting the charger to the USB port at the rear of the device.
- Ensure that all four corners of the display are visible.
- The display can be moved horizontally by moving the hinged prism inwards or outwards.
- The nose pads can be adjusted so that the device rests higher or lower on your nose.
- Glass is operated using the touchpad on the side of the device.
- Swipe your finger forward along the outside of the touchpad to scroll forward in Skylight.
- Swipe your finger backwards to scroll backwards.
- Gently tap the touchpad to select the currently focused item.
- Swipe your finger down to navigate back to the previous screen.

Device Basics: Realwear HMT-1
- To turn on the HMT-1, press and hold the power button for two seconds.
- To turn it off, press and hold the power button until it powers down.
- Charge the HMT-1 by uncovering the rubber casing on the rear of the device and inserting the USB charging cable into the port.
- Ensure all four corners of the screen are visible.
- The distance and vertical placement of the display can be controlled using the boom.
- The display pod can be tilted and rotated for minor adjustments.
- The HMT-1 can be worn with the display on the right or the left by adjusting the boom.
- The HMT-1 is operated completely hands-free using voice commands.
- Say “Scroll right” to scroll forward in Skylight.
- Say “Scroll left” to scroll back.
- Say “Select center” to select the currently focused item.
- Say “Navigate back” to navigate back to the previous screen.
- Say "Show help" to review a list of available voice commands for the current screen.

If numbered bubbles are visible on the screen, you can say "Select item
ITEM_NUMBER

Device Basics: Vuzix M400
- To turn on the M400, make sure the external battery is charged by pressing the button to light up the three LED lights. Given that it has a good change, connect the battery with the viewer. The external battery will automatically turn on the viewer.
- To turn it off, press and hold the viewer power button for one second to access the power menu, then select power down.
- To completely power down, unplug the viewer from the external battery. The battery will automatically turn off when unplugged.
- Hold the power button down for 10 seconds for a hard shut down.
- If the M400 screen dims and has gone to sleep, press and hold the back button until it wakes up.
- To charge the M400, disconnect the external battery from the viewer. Then connect the wall charger to the USB-C port on the external battery. The viewer does not need to be charged.
- Once the battery is fully charged, all three blue LEDs will light up on the external battery.
- Ensure all four corners of the screen are visible.
- The vertical placement of the display can be adjusted by rotating the device on the mount.
- The eyepiece can be tilted and rotated for minor adjustments.
- If the display is bouncing while moving, slide the display assembly further in the mount.
- The M400 can be worn with the display on the right or the left, based on the user preference.
- The M400 is operated using three buttons.
- Press the front button to scroll forward in Skylight.
- Press the middle button to scroll backwards.
- Press the rear button to select the currently focused item.
- Press and hold the rear button to return to the previous screen.

To connect smart glasses to a WiFi network:
- 1.Open Google Chrome.
- 2.Sign into the Skylight Portal using the URL, domain, and credentials provided by your administrator.
- 3.On the Home page, select Setup WiFi.
- 4.Enter your network information and generate a QR code.
- 5.Open Skylight on your smart glasses.
- 6.An alert will appear if you are not connected to a WiFi network and have not logged in.
- 7.Scan the QR code using your smart glasses to connect to the WiFi network.
To connect to a different WiFi network while already logged in:
- 1.On your smart glasses, open the global menu by scrolling all the way left.
- 2.Select Settings.
- 3.Scroll to WiFi Settings and select to open.
- 4.Ensure WiFi is enabled; if it is not, tap to turn it on.
- 5.Navigate right to view previously added networks.
- 6.If you'd like to join a new network, select Scan WiFi QR Code.
- 7.Then, scan the QR code generated from Skylight Web to connect to the WiFi network.

To sign into Skylight on your smart glasses:
- 1.Open Google Chrome.
- 2.Sign into the Skylight Portal using the URL, domain, and credentials provided by your administrator.
- 3.On the home page, click Pair a device to generate a QR code.
- 4.Open Skylight on your smart glasses.
- 5.Scan the QR code following the on-screen instructions.
- 6.Skylight will begin the authentication process. Once signed in, all applications you have permissions for will be visible.
To sign into Skylight on your smart glasses:
- 1.Open Google Chrome.
- 2.Sign into the Skylight Portal using the URL, domain, and credentials provided by your administrator.
- 3.On the home page, click Pair a device to generate a QR code.
- 4.Open Skylight on the HMT-1.
- 5.Scan the QR code following the on-screen instructions.
- 6.Skylight will begin the authentication process. Once signed in, all applications you have permissions for will be visible.

- 2.Sign into the Skylight Portal using the URL, domain, and credentials provided by your administrator.

- 6.Skylight will begin the authentication process. Once signed in, all applications you have permissions for will be visible.
To sign out of Skylight on your smart glasses:
- 1.On your smart glasses, open the global menu by scrolling all the way left.
- 2.Select Sign out of Skylight.
- 3.Select Select yes.
The global navigation menu or the application navigation menu can be used to perform application-level actions, sign out, or navigate to device settings.

To access the menu on Google Glass EE2:
- 1.Swipe left at the beginning of a view OR swipe down with two fingers.
- 2.If you are in an application, the application menu will surface. If you are at the top level application list or settings menu, the global menu will surface.
To surface the global menu from within an application:
- 1.First open the application menu by swiping left at the beginning of a view.
- 2.Then select the back button to open the global menu.
To access the menu on the HMT-1:
- 1.Speak the command "Open Main Menu".
- 2.If you are in an application, the application menu will appear on the left side of the screen. If you are at the top level application list or settings menu, the global menu will appear.
To surface the global menu from within an application:
- 1.First open the application menu by speaking the "Open Main Menu" command.
- 2.To navigate out of the application menu to the global menu, speak the name of the currently opened application, eg "Application One" (or "Scroll up" and highlight the application name, then say "Select center").
To access the menu on Vuzix M400:
- 1.Swipe left at the beginning of a view OR long press the front button.
- 2.If you are in an application, the application menu will surface. If you are at the top level application list or settings menu, the global menu will surface.
To surface the global menu from within an application:
- 1.First open the application menu by swiping left at the beginning of a view.
- 2.Then select the back button to open the global menu.

To enable voice control on Skylight:
- 1.Say Hey Skylight or Okay Skylight. A blue microphone will appear in the top left corner of the screen indicating that Skylight is listening.
- 2.To view a menu with all available voice commands, say Show voice help.
- 3.To disable voice control, say Stop listening.
Navigate through the Skylight interface using the following commands:

Voice is always enabled on the HMT-1, but if it ever stops responding to commands, try pressing the action button.

- 1.If a speech bubble with the text "SHOW HELP" is visible in the lower-right corner of your screen, speak the command "Show Help" to view a list of all available navigational commands for the current screen.
- 2.Speak the command "Hide Help" to dismiss the help menu and resume normal operation of Skylight.

If numbered bubbles are visible on the screen, you can say "Select item

A notification will appear when a new version of Skylight is available. It’s important to install Skylight updates in order to get the latest bug fixes and new features.
To install a Skylight update on your smart glasses:
- 1.Once the notification appears, select Install now to download and install the update.
- 2.Once the update finishes downloading, an additional prompt will appear. Select Install to continue.
- 3.After installing, launch Skylight again to begin using the new version.
With Skylight calling, you can make a voice or video call and connect with up to four users at a time. To use Skylight Live video calling:
- 1.Sign in to your smart glasses. Once you've signed in, you can receive calls from other users in your organization.
- 2.To make a call, open an application that has calling capabilities. Within the application, select a card that creates a call room.
- 3.You will be navigated into a call room. In-call actions will appear in the button bar.
- 4.Additional actions can be viewed in the overflow menu:
- 5.When you first join, your video feed will be pinned to the main view.
- 6.There are various actions you can perform while in-call:

When you first join a call, your video feed will be pinned to the main view. This is often helpful if you are working with a remote assistant.
If you want to see the active speaker or if someone is screen sharing, you can always unpin your feed. To unpin your feed:
- 1.Open the overflow menu and select View participants.
- 2.You will see a scrollable list of all users on the call. Notice your feed has a white border around it, indicating that it is currently pinned. Select your feed to unpin it.
- 3.Note: When a feed is pinned, there will be a pin icon in the lower right corner.
- 4.To pin your feed again (or anyone else's) you can always reopen the View participants menu and select the desired feed.
To share your screen while in-call:
- 1.Open the overflow menu and select Share screen.
- 2.The call will automatically minimize. You will be notified that you are now sharing your screen, and your screen will have a purple border indicating that you are sharing.
- 3.To return to the call, open the navigation menu by scrolling all the way left. If you are within an application, select the back arrow to jump to the global menu.
- 4.From the global menu, select Return to call.
- 5.To stop screen sharing, open the overflow menu in the call and select Stop sharing screen.
To take snapshots while in-call:
- 1.Open the overflow menu and select Take snapshot.
- 2.If taking a snapshot of another user's feed, you'll be alerted that a snapshot has been requested.
- 3.Once the snapshot is ready, all users will be notified. You can select to open it full-screen.
